The World, Residences at Sea is the largest privately owned residential yacht, and it’s sailing into next year with the 2026 Journey—to 90 destinations in 20 countries across six continents.

The World’s new itinerary will begin in Tasmania, Australia and end the year at sea in Singapore, often visiting destinations over multiple days in port, so residents can explore and immerse themselves deeply in the places they visit.

"Every destination on The World's 2026 Journey has been developed directly with Resident input after months of thoughtful discussion and collaboration," said Jessica Hoppe, President & CEO of The World. "Our community is exceptionally well traveled, and their collective insights and experiences elevate the decision-making process. The result is a voyage that reflects both individual perspective and shared vision — a defining characteristic of what makes The World truly unique."

Following Tasmania, the ship will sail to New Zealand, then circumnavigate Antarctica before they head to South America, visiting Ushuaia and the Chilean fjords before sailing the South Pacific to Easter Island, the Pitcairn Islands, French Polynesia and Hawaii.

After visiting Hawaii, residents can enjoy exploring California and the Pacific Northwest, followed by a sailing through Alaska, visiting glaciers and destinations like the Aleutian Islands. From Alaska, the ship will head to Asia once more, exploring Tokyo, Hiroshima and Busan before stopping in several ports in China and Southeast Asia, concluding in Singapore.

The 2026 Journey will offer three expert-led expeditions guided by specialists in their fields, including the Antarctic Semi-Circumnavigation Expedition, where travelers can visit Mount Erebus, penguins and other wonders; the South Pacific, Pitcairn Islands & Pacific Islands Expeditions, which includes a stop to Robinson Crusoe Island, Easter Island and other isolated stops; and the French Polynesia & Line Islands Expeditions, which includes swimming among biodiverse coral reefs and an immersion into Polynesian traditions.
