Buoyed by strong demand, Quark Expeditions is launching a second voyage for the August 2026 solar eclipse.
The newly announced sailing will take place aboard the Ocean Explorer. The 17-day voyage will depart from Reykjavik, Iceland, on August 3, 2026, and then travel to East Greenland’s High Arctic within the path of totality.
Guests will also visit Möngufoss, one of Iceland’s most remote and beautiful waterfalls, and discover Northeast Greenland National Park, the largest national park in the world. They’ll cruise the 110-kilometer Kong Oscar Fjord and explore Blomsterbugten, also known as the Bay of Flowers. Other destinations include Hofman Halvø, the Denmark Straight and Nuuk.
Joining the voyage will be Michael Zeiler, founder of the Great American Eclipse and a member of the International Astronomical Union Working Group on Solar Eclipses.
