Holland America Line has completed a series of upgrades at its private Bahamian destination, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, ahead of the island’s 30th anniversary in 2027.
The latest additions include a new food pavilion serving an island-inspired barbecue menu and a new Beach Club experience, which will give guests another option for dining and relaxing during their time ashore. Other improvements include upgraded cabanas, refreshed clamshells and daybeds, renovated bars and eateries, and four pickleball courts that were introduced last season.
The new Beach Club is set to welcome its first guests in October. Day passes will be available to book beginning in early October and will include priority tendering between the ship and the island, dedicated waiter service, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, beach accessories and specialty food and beverage offerings.
Designed with Holland America Line’s blue, orange and cream color palette, the open-air Beach Club incorporates natural textures and Caribbean-inspired elements. The cruise line says the experience is intended to offer guests a more elevated way to spend their day on Half Moon Cay.
Guests who don’t purchase a Beach Club pass will also find several new and refreshed amenities around the island. The new food pavilion will serve a complimentary menu of island-inspired barbecue favorites, while existing bars and eateries are being renovated. Cabanas have been upgraded, and additional daybeds, canopy loungers for two and beach chairs have been added.
The four pickleball courts offer another recreational option for guests spending the day on the island.

The updates kick off a yearlong celebration leading up to Half Moon Cay’s 30th anniversary in 2027. Holland America Line has operated the private destination for nearly three decades as part of its Caribbean itineraries.
The cruise line is also promoting its Caribbean sailings for the 2026-27 season through its Save on Sunshine promotion, with savings of up to 50 percent on cruise fares and free fares for children on select sailings.
Holiday Caribbean itineraries in 2026 range from seven-day cruises to longer voyages combining popular Caribbean ports with less-visited islands, historic destinations and Panama Canal itineraries.
