Fresh Tracks Canada Offers Exclusive Rocky Mountain Itineraries

A Rocky Mountain vacation is a dream holiday for many travellers. For 2026, premium FIT tour operator Fresh Tracks is offering three luxury journeys that include a ride on the iconic Rocky Mountaineer.

“This is my absolute dream trip through the Rockies,” says Katherine Foxcroft, Director of Product at Fresh Tracks Canada. “Over my 20 years in the travel business, this is the itinerary I've been wishing for! The train takes you between Jasper, Kamloops and Banff, hitting all the iconic highlights of the Rockies in one route — including Mount Robson, Pyramid Falls, and the spiral tunnels. And these trips will only be offered for two months in 2026!”

The trips are only being run during July and August next summer. These itineraries have more time to stay in the mountain towns of Banff and Jasper built in than Fresh Track’s usual itineraries. In addition to the train journey, these trips feature “immersive activities and excursions curated by local travel experts.”

The three itineraries are:

• Mountains and Lakes of the Rockies: A nine-day journey showcasing the turquoise lakes, dramatic peaks, and lush alpine meadows of the Canadian Rockies with two nights at the iconic castle-like hotel Chateau Lake Louise. Includes luxury rail journey, hotels, unique guided excursions, transfers and personalized service.  
• Scenic Highlights of the Rockies: A perfectly paced seven-day itinerary, this trip gives travellers a luxury rail experience with time to explore the national parks, including a night in the charming town of Jasper.  
• Scenic Wonders Across Canada: A spectacular 14-day coast-to coast rail adventure that includes the Rocky Mountaineer’s new 2026-only Rockies route and time on VIA Rail’s sleeper train, The Canadian. Along with extra time in the Rockies, guests get two special nights Niagara on the Lake.
