WestJet has released its year-end operational data, offering a snapshot of how Canadians travelled over the past 12 months.
The airline said it carried more than 22.6 million passengers, operated 215,397 flights and served 139 destinations, with August as the busiest month of the year.
Among the most frequently booked routes this year were:
- Vancouver–Calgary (YVR–YYC)
- Calgary–Toronto (YYC–YYZ)
- Edmonton–Vancouver (YEG–YVR)
- Vancouver–Toronto (YVR–YYZ)
- Winnipeg–Calgary (YWG–YYC)
WestJet also operated 36 inaugural flights in 2025.

What passengers consumed at 35,000 feet
In-flight habits were also part of the year-end tally. WestJet reports serving more than 15 million cookies and 10 million pretzels to passengers across its network.
On WestJet Connect, the airline’s onboard entertainment platform, the most-watched titles included Blink Twice, Anora, A Real Pain, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Goodrich.

Community and charitable contributions
Beyond flight operations, WestJet highlighted employee volunteerism and charitable support throughout the year.
- Haul for Hope: 260 WestJet volunteers and $60,000 raised as presenting sponsor in Western Canada
- Make-A-Wish Canada: 265 wishes granted, including 29 wishes in a single day during the airline’s fourth group wish trip to Orland
- CIBC Run for the Cure: 359 participants across six events, raising $44,712
- Global Medic: 13,297.90 pounds of cargo moved in support of disaster relief
- Live Different Builds: Four homes built and $17,788.87 raised
- Ronald McDonald House Volunteer Week: 56 volunteers supporting six houses and 292 families
