Air Canada has been named a 2026 Five Star Global Airline by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), marking the sixth consecutive year the carrier has earned the recognition.
The airline also received the award for Best Inflight Connectivity for its onboard Wi-Fi, sponsored by Bell and offered complimentary to Aeroplan members.
The awards were presented last night and are based on more than one million passenger-verified flight reviews across nearly 600 airlines worldwide.
“On behalf of Air Canada's 40,000 global employees, I thank APEX for confirming our status as a leading global carrier by conferring this award and our customers for their demonstrated loyalty in choosing to fly with us. And I am also pleased to see our investments to become an industry leader in inflight connectivity recognized with an award for Best Inflight Connectivity, which is complimentary for our Aeroplan Members,” said Michael Rousseau, president and CEO of Air Canada.
“We remain committed to delivering the best possible experience every time a customer uses our website or digital app, or are seated onboard our aircraft. According to a press release, the APEX Five Star and Four Star Airline Awards are the only global airline awards based entirely on neutral, third-party passenger feedback.
Ratings are collected through APEX’s partnership with TripIt from Concur and independently certified by a professional auditing company.
The latest award adds to a series of accolades Air Canada has received in 2025, including:

- Skytrax World’s Best Business Class Lounge Dining (Toronto Signature Suite, second straight year)
- Skytrax Best Cabin Crew in Canada and North America
- Skytrax Best Low-Cost Airline for Air Canada Rouge
