Air Canada Adds U.S. Routes, Boosts Transborder Capacity 15% for Summer 2026

Air Canada announced it will add new U.S. routes and increase capacity for its Summer 2026 schedule.

“Air Canada is launching services to San Antonio and linking Columbus and Cleveland to Montreal to support travel between these destinations and points across our global network. We are also boosting capacity on other markets to provide additional travel options for customers on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer, and President, Air Canada Cargo.

The carrier said its overall transborder capacity will rise by 15% compared to Summer 2025.

While this matches the airline’s Summer 2024 transborder levels, the 2026 increase is intended to expand options for travellers connecting between Air Canada’s international network and U.S. destinations.
