TICO has launched the recruitment process for its new Consumer Advisory Council (CAC), which will provide guidance and advice to TICO regarding Ontario’s travel consumer protection laws from a consumer’s perspective.
This follows last week's recruitment launch for its Industry Advisory Council (IAC), after the previous Consumer and Industry Advisory Committee (CIAC) was dissolved December 31, 2023.
In addition to recruiting consumer members, there are up to three positions available for industry members whose role is focused on the consumer perspective. For example, this could include individuals who oversee customer experience, customer service, complaints or related functions within a travel agency or tour operator. To apply for the CAC, you will need to complete a two-step process:
1. Complete a brief application form; AND
2. Email your resume to [email protected]
If you know of a consumer who would be a good fit for this council, we encourage you to share this information with them. Only short-listed candidates will be contacted for an interview.
The deadline for applications for the CAC is Friday, February 23, 2024 at 4 pm. As a reminder, the deadline for the IAC is one week earlier.
