Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) recently treated 30 of its top-performing franchise and affiliate agency owners to a seven-night trip to Peru as part of its Bravo Excellence Club program.
Hosted in partnership with Transat and tour operator G Adventures, the reward trip included stops in Lima, Cusco, and the iconic Machu Picchu.
“TDC is, first and foremost, a group of dedicated business owners—travel agency owners who work incredibly hard, and some of whom achieve truly exceptional sales performance,” said Karine Gagnon, General Manager of TDC.
“For nearly 20 years, the Bravo Excellence Club reward trip has been our way of recognizing these sales leaders.”
Gagnon noted that beyond sightseeing, the trip provides time for connection and feedback. “It allows for meaningful and insightful discussions in an enchanting and relaxed atmosphere,” she said. “I cannot overstate how vital this direct feedback from our members is to me and the leadership team members who join me.”
The itinerary, crafted by G Adventures, emphasized responsible travel and local engagement. Participants experienced Peru’s culture through activities like empanada-making and a spiritual ritual honouring the Sun King, aligning with G Adventures’ focus on sustainable tourism and community support.
Dianne Jackson, Director of Franchise and Affiliate Members, described the trip as more than a reward. “These trips are far more than just well-planned itineraries,” she said. “They are an invaluable opportunity to connect deeply with our owners, to understand what drives them, the challenges they face, and their business aspirations.”
She also praised the dynamic among participants. “This wealth of experience is a prime example of the strength and vitality of our constantly evolving network,” she added.
The group’s time in Peru concluded with a recognition evening at Cusco’s Artisano restaurant. Joined by Joseph Adamo, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Transat and President of TDC, the leadership team celebrated the group’s achievements throughout 2024.
“The path to excellence is rarely easy,” said Gagnon. “Above all, it's the result of constant effort—I would even say daily dedication—to your customers, but also to your teams.”
Participants praised the experience for its balance of adventure and camaraderie.
“Traveling to Peru and visiting Machu Picchu was an unforgettable experience—truly a dream come true,” said Ana Tremblay, co-owner of Algonquin Travel & Cruise Centre TravelPlus. “The combination of breathtaking landscapes and meaningful connections made this trip one I’ll always remember and cherish.”
Co-owners of The Travel Place TravelPlus, Sarah Crowhurst and Lynn Hipwell, shared a similar sentiment: “Wow - what an adventure!! TDC and G Adventures made this journey completely unforgettable… every moment of our journey was perfect.”
Looking ahead, TDC announced the 2026 edition of the Bravo Excellence Club will take place aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Dawn, featuring a Mediterranean itinerary from Lisbon to Barcelona with stops in Ibiza and Palma, Mallorca.
“TDC wouldn't be able to offer such memorable trips without the participation of its valued partners,” said Gagnon. “So, a big thank you in advance to NCL and, of course, Transat, our number one partner.”
