The ACTA Western Summit held yesterday, Sept. 18, 2025 at the River Rock Casino in Richmond, B.C. was the largest event ACTA has ever hosted in Western Canada. More than 300 travel advisors and 75 exhibitors gathered for networking, learning and fun.

“Last week’s Eastern Canada Travel Industry Summit in Toronto was an outstanding success, filled with energy, collaboration, learning and engagement that set the stage for an exciting season ahead,” said Suzanne Acton-Gervais, President, ACTA. “Today, we are thrilled to bring that momentum to Western Canada, where our sold-out Summit is a true testament to the passion and dedication of our members. Their enthusiasm highlights the strength of our community and inspires us as we work together to build a stronger, more resilient travel industry.”

The keynote address was delivered by Kerianne Wilson, Air Canada’s Director of Customer Accessibility, who spoke about the importance of accessibility and the latest enhancements in air travel.

Wilson provided valuable insights into the current landscape of accessible travel, highlighted innovative strategies and dedicated efforts, and placed these developments in the broader Canadian context. Advisors were left with knowledge and tools that are essential for better supporting clients with disabilities.

The sold out Richmond event was the second of three summits ACTA is hosting this fall. TravelPulse Canada was there for the opening event Sept. 11 in Toronto. The final event is scheduled for Oct. 1 in Montreal
