The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) has revealed the keynote speaker lineup for its 2025 Canadian Travel Industry Summits taking place in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal this fall.
According to a press release, each summit will include expert-led sessions tailored to address challenges and opportunities facing today’s travel professionals—from artificial intelligence to mental wellness and accessible travel.

Toronto – September 11, 2025
Toronto Congress Centre
In Toronto, Michael Drever, CEO of BranchUp, will present a session titled “The Forecast for Travel Advisors in an AI World: Bright and Sunny!”
The keynote will examine how travel advisors can integrate emerging technologies with their personal expertise to create more efficient workflows and enhance client service.
“Travel advisors have a unique opportunity to blend their expertise with innovative tools to save time and deliver exceptional customer experiences,” said Drever.
Joining him is Beverly Beuermann-King, Workplace Culture and Resiliency Expert, who will speak on “Building Resilience and Overcoming Burnout.”
“This keynote session is designed to empower advisors with actionable tools to thrive in a demanding profession while safeguarding their well-being,” said Beuermann-King.
She will share strategies tailored to the unique pressures of the travel industry and advice on maintaining motivation during turbulent times.

River Rock Casino Resort
In Vancouver, Kerianne Wilson, Director of Customer Accessibility at Air Canada, will deliver a talk titled “Enhancing Accessibility in Travel.” The session will explore how the travel industry can better support clients with disabilities.
“This session will provide valuable insights into the current landscape of accessible travel, an update on the latest innovative strategies and dedicated efforts, and about the broader context of accessibility in Canada,” said Wilson.
Montreal – October 1, 2025
Montreal Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel
In Montreal, David Tanguay, Head of Global Sales at Aurora Expeditions, will take the stage with his keynote “Edge of the Map: Redefining Adventure with Expedition Cruises.”
“Today’s travelers aren’t just booking vacations—they’re seeking meaning, discovery, and destinations that push boundaries,” said Tanguay. He’ll explore how advisors can market and personalize expedition cruises, which are growing in popularity among clients interested in sustainability and immersive experiences.
Montreal delegates will also enjoy a guided tour of YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, which was recently awarded Best Airport Staff 2025 in North America by Skytrax. The tour will showcase the airport’s architecture, local culinary offerings, and public art collection.
