Strong Support for Agent@Home at TDC Annual Conferences

Ride the Waves, Surf the Tides of Success

Transat Distribution Canada has done a brilliant job of supporting its network during its two annual conferences, held in St-Hyacinthe (September 9 and 10) for members in Quebec, and in Toronto (September 17 and 18) for members in Ontario, Western Canada and the Maritimes. Both events were a resounding success.

Part of the conference was devoted to the relaunch of TDC Campus, a crucial component for the agent@home community.

The TDC Campus offers more than 50 hours of content in English and French, that's always up to date with continuous updates. All content is always available online, accessible and responsive to your devices, be it a computer, tablet or mobile phone and in four modules with content for all levels of travel industry experience. Training is based on dynamic, hands-on and varied learning approaches like videos, readings, interactive guides, simulations, etc., to adapt to the needs of all learners and provide you with an interactive experience.

Under the theme Ride the Waves, Surf the Tides of Success, close to 800 participants from across Canada attended this event, bringing together representatives of the Marlin Travel, TravelPlus and Club Voyages franchised brands, the Transat Travel and Voyages Transat corporate agencies, the Affiliate agencies and the agent@home/ agent@externe program. Travel agency owners, managers and travel professionnals in attendance were energized by the presence of seven expert speakers, close to 45 preferred partners, including Transat and Manulife, as well as conferences, workshops and discussions with partners.

“The message we want to convey through our theme is this: we have no control over the wave; neither over the moment it comes at you, nor its intensity. But we can and must be prepared to stand up on our board when our turn to ride comes”, explains TDC’s General Manager, Karine Gagnon.

“Last year everyone was still getting over what had happened in the past three years, it was very positive, but there was a bit of sensitivity,” she tells TravelPulse Canada during an interview at the conference. “The conference is always a great opportunity for meeting partners and finding out what’s new.”

When agents become a member of TDC's agent@home program, they receive quality coaching to help achieve professional goals.
