Celebrity Cruises is extending special rates to Canadian military personnel and their families, recognizing their service and sacrifice through exclusive discounts.
Active service members from the Canadian National Defence currently qualify for these special rates. Personnel must present proper identification at check-in, specifically a white N.D.21 identification card displaying the red Canadian flag.
Retired Canadian National Defence members also receive these benefits under specific conditions. Those classified as retired include enlisted personnel or officers with minimum 20 years of service, medically retired individuals and those who are 100 per cent disabled. Canadian retirees must present a green NDI-75 card for retired personnel as proof of eligibility.
The special rates extend beyond just the service member themselves. Spouses of actively deployed Canadian military personnel can book staterooms using these special rates, as long as the eligible spouse occupies the stateroom. This benefit also applies to spouses of deceased military personnel who can demonstrate their eligibility through proper documentation.
All guests travelling in the same stateroom as the qualified Canadian military member are eligible to receive the military rate, making it an attractive option for family vacations. The discount recognises the sacrifices made by military families and provides them with accessible vacation opportunities.
However, Celebrity Cruises maintains strict guidelines regarding eligibility. Additional staterooms beyond the one occupied by the qualified military person are not eligible for these special rates, even when booked by family members or friends travelling with the military personnel.
