A former student leader and community activist who rose to become the island's Ambassador to France among other roles, Hilaire says tourism growth is critical to Saint Lucia's success as a nation, both in terms of economic and social development. The Minister thanked Canadian travel advisors for their strong support in selling the destination, stating that the Canadian market is very close to full recovery from the pandemic. He adds that strong airlift for the coming winter is a harbinger for success.
