Canadians seeking the sun and sandy beaches in Punta Cana will have a little more choice when booking with WestJet Vacations this winter. The company is adding the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort, Spa & Casino, Lopesan Serenity Cove,Lopesan Caoba Lagoon and brand new Moon Palace The Grand-Punta Cana to its offerings.
Lopesan’s three properties hold a variety of experience for guests with five-star luxury for adults seeking a grown up vacation at Costa Bavaro and Serenity Cove or for families at the Caoba Lagoon.The resorts, co-located on Playa Bávaro, offer a “beachfront escape set along white sands, warm, clear waters and a natural coral reef barrier.” Together they have more than 1,000 rooms, multiple pools, a kids’ pool and waterpark, daily activities and nightly entertainment. Guests can also enjoy a wide selection of dining and entertainment options, a spa and fitness centre, non-motorized water sports and an on-site casino.
The opening of the new Moon Palace has been highly anticipated since it was first announced. Now taking its first arrivals (as of Sept. 1, 2026) the all-ages resort features luxurious accommodations, nine pools, an expansive water park and the Awe Spa. Guests can also enjoy a “diverse culinary offering” and unlimited premium drinks at the resort’s bars, or take the time to perfect their swing at the Greg Norman-designed golf course. Guests travelling soon are advised that there may still be some “finishing touches” may still be underway at the resort.
