Born out of the pandemic, Goway’s training program the GowayPro Travel Academy has just enrolled its 7,000th travel professional and loaded its 600th training module.
The GowayPro Travel Academy is designed to be a fun, free, and easy way for travel professionals to become experts on destinations they may have never visited themselves.
"Adversity often leads to new opportunities," says Don Forster, Goway's Trade Training and Engagement Manager.
"The GowayPro Travel Academy was born from the COVID-19 pandemic with the realization that both Goway's Destination Specialists and our travel trade partners would need refresher training to return to the new normal of travel. It was also clear that many new agents were joining the industry as we emerged from imposed isolation and that training would be vital for them to get up to speed,” Forster added.

Drawing on Goway’s first-hand travel knowledge and internal destination training program, the GowayPro Travel Academy allows travel professionals to learn at their own pace as they become experts on countries, regions, and continents.

Academy members can also become certified travel experts and gain exclusive rewards, including access to FAMs and cash rewards with the GowayPro Loyalty Program.
The academy’s 600 training modules on 60 countries (and counting) are ACTA-accredited and ASTA-endorsed. They even allow travel professionals to earn CEU credits with the Travel Institute.
