G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions Unveil New 'Signature' Itineraries

G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions announced the official launch of National Geographic Signature with G Adventures, a new collection of high-end travel experiences through the lens of National Geographic.

The collection features 32 trips across 28 destinations from seven-day trips to longer 19-day, more in-depth adventures across Southern Africa and Peru to Japan, Costa Rica, Central Asia, Morocco, Vietnam and Palau (a new destination for G Adventures).

Each trip features:

  • Special access to rare locations and sites defining experiential luxury.
  • Access to leading experts that provide travelers a broad understanding of the destination.
  • Travel that makes a difference with each Signature trip helping to support the nonprofit National Geographic Society.
  • Elevated immersive stays that include five-star or best-in-region accommodations reflecting the destination and sense of place.

Signature National Geographic Signature with G Adventures trips include:

Peru from Machu Picchu to the Amazon Jungle

A 12-day adventure tracing Hiram Bingham’s iconic expedition to the mountaintop city of the Incas, meeting with local women and experts working to protect ancient weaving techniques in the Sacred Valley and a lecture with a local expert to understand more about the history, conservation challenges and cultural significance of Machu Picchu.

In the Amazon, travelers can become Citizen Scientists in the AmazonCam program, or take an Aerobotany lesson, learning to fly a drone and taking panoramic shots of forest ecology.  In Lima, travelers explore the renowned Museo Larco, guided by a National Geographic Expedition Expert, learning the artistry, beliefs and deep ties ancient cultures held with the natural world.

The Five Stans & the Heart of the Silk Road

Following the path of the ancient Silk Road, this 19-day trip provides a deep understanding of the significance of this ancient trading route, its culture, history and the traditional nomadic ways of life. Signature Moments include an after-hours visit to the Guri Emir Mausoleum where a local history professor leads a discussion on the Tamerlane Dynasty and a before-hours visit to Issyk State Historical & Cultural Reserve Museum, with a curator-led talk on the famed Scythian “Golden Man” and the archaeology of the Issyk Valley.

Travelers will lunch with a Kyrgyz family and witness millennia-old sporting traditions such as eagle hunting, horsemanship and Kok-boru demonstrations in a nomadic village, learning traditions that reflect the nomadic spirit, strength, and harmony with nature that define Kyrgyz culture.

Southern Africa from Cape Town to Victoria Falls

This 14-day Southern Africa trip brings together culture, conservation and luxury, offering rare access and unforgettable perspectives. Starting in Cape Town, travelers sip award-winning vintages with a leading South African winemaker before experiencing the ancient storytelling of the Indigenous San people at the !Khwa ttu San Culture and Education Center.

Expedition Expert presentations explore flavors, history, culture and landscapes of the region, while in Kruger, private safaris with conservation experts from the Endangered Wildlife Fund provide in-depth insight into the protection of South Africa’s wildlife. Photography experts will teach travelers how to capture the perfect wildlife photo in Chobe and travelers will sleeping in chic train carriages suspended over the Sabie River at Kruger Shalati, and in boutique lodges overlooking Batoka Gorge.
