Collette is inviting travel advisors across North America to attend a virtual event focused on one of the fastest-growing segments in travel: solo travellers. The session, titled “An Inside Look at the Solo Travel Experience,” will take place on March 19, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. ET, and advisors are encouraged to register with their clients. The event will feature guest speaker Elizabeth Simmons, an experienced solo traveller who will share personal insights into travelling independently, including the emotional leap of taking a first solo trip and the connections and confidence that can come from the experience.“As more travellers embrace the freedom of exploring on their own, especially women and those over 50, travel advisors need tools and knowledge to support them,” said Denise Sablone, Executive Vice President of Tour Design and Delivery.
“This event is designed to help advisors understand the motivations, concerns, and opportunities within the solo market so they can guide and inspire their clients.”During the session, advisors and prospective solo travellers will hear real stories and practical advice on topics including what motivates solo travellers — particularly those taking their first trip later in life — as well as the needs and expectations of female solo travellers. The discussion will also explore how guided travel can provide structure and safety while still allowing independence, and why small-group tours continue to resonate with solo travellers.According to Collette, the session aims to give advisors a clearer understanding of the emotional and logistical considerations solo travellers face, along with practical ways to build business in the segment.Travel advisors who register for the event will also have access to an on-demand version if they cannot attend the live session. Collette also noted that additional advisor resources are available through its Travel Advisor Portal.
