Google has announced a handful of upgrades to AI Mode in Search.
According to a blog post from James Byers, Group Product Manager, Search, users can now track flight prices, view points or miles rates and book their hotel stay right in AI Mode.
Track Flight Prices In AI Mode
Google Flights' popular price-tracking feature has been implemented directly in AI Mode.
"Describe where and when you want to fly and AI Mode will show you the best options available with the latest prices from more than 300 partner airlines and travel sites," writes Byers. "If you’re ready to book, you can build your full itinerary in AI Mode and buy your tickets through the airline’s website or your preferred booking platform."
Users can ask Google AI to track flight prices to receive an email if fares change for the destination and dates they've selected.
The new flight price tracking in AI Mode is now available in more than 180 countries and territories worldwide.
View the Cost In Points or Miles
Google is already working with brands such as Alaska Airlines/Hawaiian Airlines, American Airlines, Choice Hotels International, Hilton and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts to allow AI Mode in Search users to see the cost in points or miles for flights and hotels.
"Try asking something like 'I want to travel from Atlanta to Miami using my AA miles. Help me find some options for nonstop flights departing Oct 9 and returning on Oct 12,'" says Byers.
The feature is now available globally and will add support for Accor, Flying Blue, Hyatt, LATAM Airlines and Lufthansa Group in the coming weeks.

Hotel Bookings In AI Mode
Travelers can now book their hotel stay right in AI Mode in Google Search.
After sharing trip details and preferences, users will see a visual list of options and can read over guest reviews and compare important factors such as location details, services and amenities before selecting "Continue on Google" in the list of booking options.
"From there, it’s just a few taps to pick your room type, review details like the cancellation policy, and complete the booking securely via Google Pay," Byers writes. "When you book hotels through AI Mode, the hotel or booking platform will act as the merchant of record and handle any customer service."
Hotel booking in AI Mode recently started rolling out in the U.S. in English and will be available with partners like Booking.com, Choice Hotels International, Expedia, Hilton, Hotels.com, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Priceline, Trip.com and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts over the coming weeks, according to Byers.
