Intrepid Names Emily Jirout, General Manager for North America

Intrepid Travel has appointed Emily Jirout as its new general manager for North America.

Jirout, currently serving as the senior people partner for the region, first joined Intrepid in 2012 in Human Resources. She left the company in 2015, returning in 2022 to take on her current role.

In her new position, she will begin by helping to recruit a vice president of People, a role based in Seattle.

The appointment comes as Intrepid reshapes its organizational structure in the Americas. Matt Berna, previously overseeing broader North American operations, will now focus on sales and partnerships, while Leigh Barnes continues to lead as president of the Americas.
