The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) announced the promotion of ACTA veteran Fiona Bowen to the role of Senior Manager, Membership.
“This promotion is well deserved,” said Suzanne Acton Gervais, President of ACTA. “Fiona plays a key role at ACTA and will now lead a small but powerful membership team, strengthening member engagement, supporting travel advisors across Canada, and advancing initiatives that help members grow and succeed.
Bowen has worked for more than 30 years in the industry, in retail travel agencies and tour operations. Her 24 year tenure at ACTA has marked her as a steadfast advocate for Canada’s travel advisor community, bringing deep industry knowledge, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to member support and advocacy.
In her new role, Fiona continues to focus on empowering travel advisors to succeed and grow their businesses. Known for her collaborative approach and genuine passion for elevating the profession, she remains a trusted resource for ACTA members and a driving force behind initiatives that strengthen and advance the industry.
“I am honoured and grateful to continue my journey in an industry I love, working every day to elevate and promote travel advisors, “ said Bowen. “While we have faced many challenges over the years our strength has always been our unity. Together, through ACTA, we continue to move forward with one strong voice.”
