VidantaWorld Voyages is entering the luxury cruise market with the debut of its first ultra-yacht, ELEGANT, set to sail its inaugural Mediterranean voyage on April 11, 2026.
The ship will depart from Funchal, Madeira, kicking off a season of seven-night itineraries running through early October. A second Mediterranean season is planned from May to September 2027.
ELEGANT will operate across several regions, including the French Riviera, Spanish coast, Greek Islands, Adriatic Sea, Italian shores, and the Azores and Portugal. The itineraries are designed to focus on fewer destinations with longer stays, including overnight calls and late departures.
The ship was originally designed to carry more than 600 passengers but has been reconfigured to accommodate 216 guests. The reduced capacity is paired with a near one-to-one crew-to-guest ratio and a service model that includes butler service in select accommodations.
“From the beginning, our focus has been about redefining what luxury at sea could feel like,” said Ivan Chavez, Executive Vice President of Grupo Vidanta.
“By dramatically reducing guest count, elevating service to near one-to-one levels, prioritizing space and building itineraries around longer stays and late departures, we've created a voyage that delivers the high-end experience and flexibility today's luxury travelers are seeking.”

Onboard, the ship emphasizes open space and a residential-style layout, with larger suites, expanded public areas and no traditional main dining room. Instead, guests will have access to multiple restaurants, lounges and bars spread throughout the vessel.
Amenities include a marina deck with direct sea access, a spa and fitness centre, pool deck, casino and a range of entertainment spaces. Dining is centred around three main restaurants offering Mediterranean, Asian fusion and Mexican cuisine, along with more casual venues.
Programming is designed to follow a flexible daily rhythm, with wellness activities, live music and evening entertainment taking place across different venues without fixed schedules.
Shore experiences will also reflect the slower pace, with tenders available on demand and excursions tailored to each destination.
VidantaWorld Voyages is the marine extension of the Mexico-based Vidanta hospitality brand, known for its resort portfolio. The company said the new venture aims to translate its land-based luxury model to sea, with a focus on space, service and longer stays in destination.
Bookings for 2026 and 2027 voyages are now open.
