The World’s 50 Best Hotels has released its first-ever extended ranking, spotlighting hotels placed No. 51 to No. 100.
The new list expands the global recognition program to include more destinations and independent properties, covering 24 territories and 40 cities. A total of 13 independent hotels are featured.
Aman Nai Lert in Bangkok leads the extended list at No. 51.
Asia dominates with 16 entries, including The Peninsula Hong Kong (No. 54), Aman Kyoto (No. 74), The Johri in India (No. 93) and Amanbagh (No. 100).
Europe tops all regions with 17 hotels, nine of which are in Italy—among them Hotel Cipriani (No. 72), Casa Maria Luigia (No. 82) and Portrait Milano (No. 99). Sweden’s Ett Hem (No. 89) and Türkiye’s Maçakızı (No. 96) mark the first entries from their respective countries since the awards launched in 2023.
North America is led by New York City, home to four ranked hotels including The Fifth Avenue Hotel (No. 75) and The Greenwich Hotel (No. 77). The Beverly Hills Hotel (No. 65) and San Ysidro Ranch (No. 68) represent California, while Mexico contributes three properties, including Four Seasons Tamarindo (No. 55) and Montage Los Cabos (No. 67).
The 51–100 list also includes two South American entries—Hotel das Cataratas in Iguassu Falls (No. 76) and Palacio Nazarenas in Cusco (No. 87)—and welcomes New Zealand’s Huka Lodge (No. 88) into the 50 Best community for the first time.
“As we enter our third year, we are delighted to honour even more of the world’s most outstanding hotels with the extended 51–100 list,” said Emma Sleight, head of Content for The World’s 50 Best Hotels.
“From this year and beyond, we will be able to showcase an even larger pool of hotels and territories.”
According to a press release, the official 2025 ranking of The World’s 50 Best Hotels will be unveiled on October 30 at 20:00 UK time and livestreamed on the 50 Best YouTube channel.
