The 2025 World Ski Awards were announced this week, and a Whistler property took the prize for Canada’s Best for Ski Hotel, Boutique and Chalet. Lake Louise Ski Resort was the sole outlier, taking the prize for Canada’s Best Ski Resort, the only non-lodging category.
Each year, votes are cast by ski industry professionals (senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators and media) and by the public (ski tourism consumers) in a range of categories to determine the World Ski Awards winners.
This year, the Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside was named Canada’s best ski hotel. The Pan Pacific continues a winning streak in the category; this is its 13th year winning the award that recognizes the property for its consistent commitment to service excellence and an elevated guest experience.
“Being recognized as ‘Canada’s Best Ski Hotel’ is an honour for our entire team, and achieving the thirteenth year running is an unforgettable milestone for us,” said Julie Lanteigne, General Manager of both Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside and Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre hotels.
Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel Whistler also took home a prize, as did Wedge Mountain Lodge and Spa, Whistler, for Canada’s Best Ski Chalet.
Skiing at Whistler Blackcomb is set to open Nov. 21, 2025 for the upcoming winter season.
