Hyatt's Inclusive Collection is introducing a new program designed to encourage deeper connection between couples while on vacation.
Starting this month, Secrets Resorts & Spas properties in Mexico will roll out "AWAY, TOGETHER," a collaboration with The Skin Deep, the Emmy Award-winning relationship platform known for its conversation-based experiences and card games.
According to Hyatt, the pilot program launches at Secrets Moxché Playa del Carmen and Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya, with plans to expand to additional properties.
The initiative comes as research points to growing demand for more meaningful travel experiences. According to Hyatt's recent Time Rich survey, 31% of couples say they don't spend enough quality time together, while 84% believe that travelling together strengthens their relationship long after the trip ends.
At participating resorts, couples will have access to a customized version of The Skin Deep's conversation card game, along with digital prompts available through QR codes placed throughout the properties and within the Hyatt Inclusive Collection app.
"At Inclusive Collection resorts, we know travelers are increasingly seeking experiences that help them reconnect in more meaningful ways," said Ana Tomicevic, Vice President, Global Brand, Hyatt Inclusive Collection.
"Our recent Time Rich survey, completed by Wakefield research found that 31% of couples say they don't spend enough quality time together, while 84% believe time away strengthens their relationship long after returning home. Through our collaboration with The Skin Deep, we're creating intentional experiences that help guests slow down, engage more deeply and make their time together feel even more valuable."
The Skin Deep, known for its popular "{THE AND}" relationship project and conversation games, says the partnership marks its first venture into the hospitality sector.
"Deeper Connection doesn't happen automatically—it happens when people intentionally enter a space of vulnerability, curiosity and presence," said Topaz Adizes, Founder and Executive Director of The Skin Deep. "This collaboration with Secrets Resorts & Spas felt like a natural fit because travel has the unique ability to remove people from the distractions of everyday life and create opportunities for deeper conversation. Together, we designed an experience that encourages couples to move beyond surface-level interaction and reconnect in meaningful ways throughout their stay."
The program will include physical and digital conversation cards, prompts integrated into various areas of the resort, and themed dining experiences intended to spark discussion between guests.
The collaboration will include content created with several high-profile couples, including Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson East and former NFL player Andrew East, as well as JuJu Smith-Schuster and fitness personality Laura Kruk.
Secrets Resorts & Spas currently operates 28 adults-only resorts across eight countries, including destinations in Mexico, Spain and the Dominican Republic.
