In winter 2028, Raffles Hotels & Resorts will open its first ski resort – Raffles Courchevel – in Courchevel 1850, a high-altitude luxury alpine village set within France’s Les Trois Vallées.
“The introduction of Raffles Courchevel marks an extraordinary milestone for our brand, representing our first venture into the stylish world of alpine luxury and our second distinguished address in France, joining Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris,” said Raffles Hotels & Resorts CEO Omer Acar.
“The selection of Courchevel underscores our commitment to thoughtfully expanding the Raffles brand in the most coveted resort destinations worldwide,” he added. “Raffles is celebrated for its highly personalized service, inherent sense of elegance, and unmistakable spirit of glamour. Courchevel, with its natural allure and vibrant sophistication, provides the perfect match.”
Courchevel 1850 is the highest-elevation ski village of six interconnected ski areas, offering stunning views of the Tarentaise Valley.
Many of the resort’s 50 guestrooms and suites will feature furnished balconies.
The resort will include two restaurants with winter gardens and large terraces, a signature bar, a lounge, a spa and recovery zones “for restoration and renewal, combining traditional alpine wellness with precision therapies rooted in longevity science,” Raffles said.
Raffles Courchevel will be the company’s sixth property in Europe. In addition to Le Royal Monceau, properties include Raffles London at The OWO, Raffles Europejski Warsaw and Raffles Istanbul. Raffles Lake Como is scheduled to begin welcoming guests next year.
The company, which is a unit of Accor, opened its North American property – Raffles Hotel & Residences – in Boston in September 2023.
Raffles opened its first property in Singapore in 1887.
