Nobu Set to Open its First Canadian Hotel

Nobu Hotels are set to open a handful of new properties this year. Among the glittering destinations that will see the luxury brand set up shop is Toronto.  Rome, New Orleans and Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia round out the list.

The brand, which started with the iconic Nobu restaurants founded by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa is built around the Japanese philosophy of Shiawase — a celebration of happiness and well-being. 

Nobu Hotel Toronto will sit on the historic site of the Pilkington Glass Factory, in the heart of the Entertainment District. The hotel will reportedly feature 36 elegantly designed guest rooms and suites, along with a bi-level Nobu restaurant that includes a bar and lounge, private dining spaces, a sushi bar, and an outdoor terrace. The hotel, overlooking Lake Ontario, is scheduled to open in the summer of 2025.

The new hotel is one of several set to open in Toronto, announcements that contributed to a record-breaking year for Destination Toronto in 2024.
