Germain Hotels named Marie Pier Germain and Hugo Germain as co-presidents of the Canadian hotel group, effective immediately.
The move marks a generational shift at the family-owned company, which was founded by Christiane and Jean-Yves Germain and has grown its name in Canada’s hospitality industry over the past 36 years.
Marie Pier and Hugo, who have each been with the company for more than two decades, have played roles in its growth and are now poised to lead its continued expansion.
“It is a true privilege to continue the work of our parents while writing the next chapters,” said Marie Pier Germain. “We do so with respect and ambition, surrounded by an exceptional team working in every region of the country.”
“We grew up with this company and have poured our hearts into it,” added Hugo Germain. “Today, we are ready to take charge in our own way while remaining true to the values that have made Germain Hotels so strong. Our goal remains the same: to ensure that every guest enjoys an unforgettable experience when they stay with us.”
Looking ahead, the new co-presidents plan to strengthen the company’s presence in Canada and pursue International opportunities.
