Hyatt Hotels & Resorts announced that its Hyatt Inclusive Collection resorts in Jamaica have suspended normal hotel operations due to Hurricane Melissa.

The resort brand revealed that it was conducting a detailed assessment to determine the extent of the physical damage to all properties. As a result, eight of its properties in Jamaica have suspended operations and are not accepting new reservations through January 31, 2026.

The hotels include Breathless Montego Bay Resort & Spa, Dreams Rose Hall Resort & Spa, Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall, Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, Secrets St. James Montego Bay, Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay, Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa, and Zoëtry Montego Bay Jamaica.

A Hyatt spokesperson shared the following statement about closing its properties and shutting down reservations until the start of 2026:

“We understand that severe weather can impact your travel plans. For the latest updates during inclement weather, please check this site regularly. The wellbeing of our guests is our top priority. In the event of a weather-related emergency, our experienced resort management and staff are fully trained and equipped to ensure our guests’ safety.”

Hyatt has waived cancellation fees for stays booked directly with Hyatt through November 30, with refunds issued for deposits and prepayments for canceled stays on these dates, including prepaid rates.

For reservations made online or through travel advisors, guests may contact their booking provider for information and assistance.
