Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is working hand in hand with the Dominican Republic's Department of Public Health and Ministry of Tourism to make COVID-19 vaccines easily accessible to all of their employees.
"We are thrilled to be able to take this crucial step with our team members to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all guests, staff and local community while aiding in the recovery of the destination's tourism industry," said AIC Hotel Group's VP of Marketing, Frank Maduro. "We applaud the local government for taking initiative on this vaccine rollout for our industry, as these efforts are a telltale sign of an imminent comeback."
The vaccine rollout began on site April 27 where healthcare workers administered around 700 first doses per day. The administration of the vaccine came at zero cost to employees and is purely voluntary though the company is hopeful of achieving the goal of 100% participation from team members. If employees experience any side effects, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana will provide the necessary paid time off.
With the enhanced safety protocols and increasingly vaccinated hotel staff, guests at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana can feel at ease while vacationing in paradise. The SAFE + SOUND program also offers complimentary COVID-19 antigen testing and medical assistance insurance to guests during their stay.
Additional details on the SAFE + SOUND enhanced health and safety protocols include:
- Use of face coverings in public spaces
- Designated sanitizing stations
- Increased safety protocol signage
- Minimized employee contact
- Limited capacity seating
