Cole Millen will be taking the reins as General Manager at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
The historic downtown property is pleased to welcome Millen, who was born in Edmonton and raised in British Columbia, graduating from Hotel and Restaurant Administration at Camosun College before earning an MBA in Executive Management from Royal Roads University.
“I am honoured to take on the role of General Manager at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver”, said Millen. “This property holds a special place in Canada’s hospitality landscape, and I look forward to working alongside the talented team to continue delivering exceptional experiences for our guests.”
Most recently, Millen served as General Manager of Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton, where he led a thoughtful service-elevation initiative that earned the property its first MICHELIN One Key and first Condé Nast Readers’ Choice Award. Previously, as Director of Operations at the Fairmont Empress, Millen played a lead role in the planning and execution of a three-year, $60 million hotel renovation.
According to the release announcing Millen’s appointment, he is known for his people-first leadership approach, he is deeply committed to creating meaningful guest experiences and fostering strong, engaged teams. He is particularly passionate about the heritage, architecture, and legacy that define Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, cycling, camping, and golfing – fully embracing the West Coast lifestyle he is proud to call home once again.
