Walt Disney World Resort's new Lakeshore Lodge has an official opening date after Disney Vacation Club shared a first look at what the property's guest rooms will look like on Thursday.
The new waterfront resort will open its doors on July 1, 2027.
Situated along Bay Lake and just a short boat ride from Magic Kingdom, the nature-inspired resort will offer travelers a serene basecamp for their Disney vacation, boasting 967 guest rooms from intimate duo studios to spacious villas and waterfront Lake Houses.
Studios
Designed with couples and solo travelers in mind, Lakeshore Lodge's duo studios are inspired by Disney Animation's Encanto and include a kitchenette, a spa-like split bathroom and a queen-size pull-down bed that can be tucked into the wall when not in use to open up more room.
The property's deluxe studios are inspired by Bambi and greet guests with original concept artwork from the archives. Deluxe studio living spaces are designed for up to four guests. Highlights include a kitchenette, private balcony and a seating area.
Villas
Lakeshore Lodge's one- and two-bedroom villas will also be rooted in the storytelling of Bambi but are designed for larger groups as they offer full kitchens, washers and dryers, private patios and spacious living and dining areas.
These villas can accommodate up to five and nine guests, respectively.
Meanwhile, three-bedroom grand villas will take inspiration from Disney Animation's Fantasia. With room for up to a dozen guests, grand villas will feature premium amenities designed for multigenerational families. This will include plenty of gathering spaces, multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen and a private patio with water views.
Lake Houses
Lakeshore Lodge's unique Lake Houses are freestanding one- and two-bedroom retreats offering families loads of space to relax. They feature an inviting A-frame architecture and floor-to-ceiling windows that maximize natural light and lake views.
These spaces can accommodate up to five or eight guests and include a private porch overlooking the water, a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. Elsewhere inside, artwork will celebrate Walt Disney Animation Studios' Brother Bear, with the primary bedroom offering a special Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature.
Other Accommodations
Drawing inspiration from Pocahontas, resort studios will accommodate up to four guests, while resort studio king rooms will treat two to an elevated stay complemented by earthy colors, carved wood paneling with artistic nods to Grandmother Willow and scenic murals that bring the famous film to life.
Additionally, select accommodations will include access to The Artist's Nest, an elevated concierge lounge where guests can enjoy personalized service, complimentary refreshments and sweeping views of Walt Disney World Resort.
Finally, there's the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite with views of Bay Lake and the iconic Magic Kingdom Park fireworks. This suite can accommodate up to six guests with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, a washer and dryer and concierge lounge access.
Disney Vacation Club Members will have first access to rental reservations for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge beginning October 6, while Walt Disney World Annual Passholders will be able to book rental reservations starting October 7.
Reservations will open to all guests online on October 8.
