Co-branded Moxy and Element Hotels to Open in Vancouver

Hotel construction in Vancouver continues apace, with Moxy and Element by Westin announcing a dual brand hotel slated to open in summer 2028.

The property will be managed by Hotel Equitites, a “best in class” hospitality operator that will provide on-the-ground support.

The 30-storey hotel is being developed by owner Paul Y. Construction (B.C.) Ltd. and will hold 280 guest rooms under the Moxy brand and 112 rooms under Element by Westin. The brands, both under the “lifestyle” umbrella of Marriott brands, are distinct but complementary, catering to different guest segments. Moxy is known for playful, experiential design and a social atmosphere, while Element focuses on longer-stay travellers seeking balance, sustainability, and well-being. 

The hotels are being built at 848–850 Seymour Street, in Vancouver’s entertainment district — near BC Place, Rogers Arena, Vancouver Convention Centre and plentiful options for dining, arts and shopping.
