Spending the Holidays in Puerto Vallarta
A new luxury hotel option awaits your guests in the luxurious seaside resort of Cap Cana, Dominican Republic.
The Palladium chain recently acquired the former AlSol Tiara Cap Cana to convert it into a 115-suite boutique hotel: TRS Cap Cana.
For adults only, the property overlooking the marina of Cap Cana and the Caribbean Sea charms with its intimate decor and refined tropical colors of the most inviting.
We are first seduced by the pretty rows of pink flowers, which line the avenue leading to the complex, then by the orange lounge chairs along the main pool and the junior swim up suites, favorite of our editorial director. These last ones give only one desire: to dive head first in the water or to take advantage of it to read a good novel or to sip a cocktail in the sun!
Several categories of suites are offered, all overlooking the sea or the marina. All of the rooms at TRS Cap Cana are called suites, they each have two queen beds or a king bed and come with a separate living room, a reading corner and a furnished terrace, the most luxurious are the ambassador suites. They include an indoor jacuzzi, as well as a luxury shower on the furnished terrace.
Featuring a spa with a modern hydrotherapy circuit, TRS Cap Cana also has a church where guests can go to get married. They can then celebrate their union on the resort's rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking views of the sea.
The church also has a bar, Church Bar, where you can enjoy a cocktail while lulled by ambient music.
In terms of gastronomy, guests can choose from four restaurants, including two à la carte restaurants, the El Gaucho, an Argentinean grill restaurant, and the newly opened Izakaya, a fine Japanese restaurant.
The seafront Helios offers a varied menu including sushi and pasta served with a selection of quality drinks. For lunches and dinners, we go to Capricio, which turns into a buffet or restaurant of international cuisine.
In addition to its clean design and contemporary look, the TRS Cap Cana stands out for its location. Being located just 10 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport and close to the vibrant and revamped city center of the most popular seaside resort in the Caribbean, this is the perfect place to take a vacation away from the looks. The atmosphere prevailing on the premises is very intimate and relaxed.
Unlike other accommodation options offered in the Dominican Republic, the TRS Cap Cana is a pool-oriented hotel, since the beach bordering it is rather small, but still very pretty.
One of the biggest advantages of staying there is that it provides access to the amenities and services of other Palladium resorts in Punta Cana, including the TRS Turquesa, which opened last year, on the sublime Bavaro Beach.
Absolutely everything is included at TRS Cap Cana; from room service to minibar, to meals and drinks in bars and restaurants.
The resort also offers a full program of activities, including salsa, meringue and bachata classes, as well as Spanish and yoga classes. In short, enough to dive into the Dominican culture, while relaxing in a heavenly setting reserved for adults.
