Belize will be more accessible to Canadians than it has been in over three years thanks to flight announcements from both WestJet and Air Canada.
The Belize Tourism Board says it is "thrilled" to welcome the long-awaited return of WestJet's direct service from Calgary (YYC) to Belize City (BZE). This weekly flight starts on November 18 and will operate once per week.
The Western Canadian flight is in addition to the seasonal direct flight from Toronto (YYZ) to Belize City (BZE), which returns in November and will operate twice weekly.
Access to the destination is being further expanded through Air Canada's direct service from Toronto (YYZ) to Belize City (BZE), which is being introduced this November.
The tourism board says Belize's outdoor adventure and diverse cultural offerings, paired with its year-round tropical climate, makes the destination alluring for Canadians.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Belize Barrier Reef, is the largest and most intact reef system within the Northern Hemisphere, comprised of seven marine reserve zones, over four hundred cayes (islands) and three atolls, furthering Belize's position as a tropical destination for Canadians to consider for their next getaway.
