There’s Still Time to Vie for an ABTA Black Pineapple Award

For the second year running, the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA) is running its Black Pineapple Awards, recognizing excellence in the travel trade. To qualify, Canadian travel advisors are asked to register their bookings to Antigua and Barbuda over the last year in order to win a trip to the awards. 

There’s still time to register before the Sept. 30 deadline, but don’t wait too long, you don’t want to miss your chance. 

The gala awards celebrations will be held in Antigua from December 3–7, 2025 and include luxury hospitality, island adventures and  cultural discovery.

How to Participate:

• Register all Antigua and Barbuda bookings made between October 1, 2024 – September 30, 2025 on the Antigua and Barbuda Travel Agent website at www.AntiguaBarbudaTA.com
• Each registered booking is an entry into the awards program.
• Travel advisors with the highest sales, most room nights, and most individual bookings will be recognized.

The Black Pineapple awards celebrate the role of travel advisors and are a way to showcase why Antigua and Barbuda remain one of the Caribbean’s most desired destinations. “Canadian travel advisors are instrumental in sharing the beauty and diversity of Antigua and Barbuda with travellers,” says Tameka Wharton, Director of Tourism Canada. “The Black Pineapple Awards not only recognizes top sellers but also rewards the creativity and passion that Canadian agents bring to promoting our destination.”
