St. Vincent and the Grenadines Adding Four Hotels

St. Vincent and the Grenadines will undergo a major expansion of its hotel room stock with the addition of four new properties within the next 36 months, said Carlos James, minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture.

Speaking during a State of the Tourism Industry Address at a St.Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority Stakeholders’ Conference, James announced the new properties’ debut.

The four new projects will include Peter’sHope Resort DevelopmentProject, a 280-room beachfront Marriott Autograph Collection hotel.  Also planned is Beaches St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a 360-room family resort, and  Palm Island Development, a new project. with phase one scheduled to open in December 2026. The fourth property will be Cumberland Bay Resort Development Project, a 150-room beachfront resort featuring  overwater bungalows, cottages, and a hotel and small marina. 

St Vincent and the Grenadines currently has a room stock of 3,349. The addition of the new projects together with the formal inclusion of Airbnb and short-term rental listings representing approximately 400 properties amounts to 1,100 rooms. The country’s total room stock is projected to reach over 4,450 rooms by 2026/2027. representing a 34.55% increase over 2025 levels. 

“These new developments represent more than additional rooms, they signify a transformation of our tourism product, strengthening St Vincent and the Grenadines’ competitiveness on the global stage,” said James. 

“We are committed to ensuring these investments are developed sustainably, aligning with our broad-based economic model and creating real opportunities for our people,” added. “This is not mass tourism, but a structured, forward-looking approach to tourism development that balances growth, community benefit, and environmental stewardship.”
