Starting January 5, 2026, travelers staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels will find a different perk than early park entry: they’ll receive one Lightning Lane entry to an eligible Lightning Lane Multi Pass attraction during their stay instead.
The new Lightning Lane entry is available for guests during their resort stay. Valid theme park admission and a park reservation are required for guests ages 3 and up.
Lightning Lane-eligible attractions include Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! at Disney California Adventure Park, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at Disneyland Park and many more.
Guests are required to reserve their chosen Lightning Lane attraction ahead of time, which replaces the act of standing in line for their turn.
According to Disney, the change was made to provide hotel guests more flexibility to enjoy a shorter line after finding that a majority of guests were not taking advantage of the Early Entry access.
Travelers who are staying at a Disneyland Resort property prior to January 5 will still enjoy early park entry to either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park on select days of the week.
