Canada has earned a spot among the top 10 countries in the world in the 2025 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.
The annual rankings, decided by global readers, place Canada at #10—recognizing both its "breathtaking landscapes and the warmth of its people."
The acknowledgment adds to a growing list of accolades for Canada this year.
- Recently named Most Loved Country in the World in the Country RepTrak® report, highlighting its safety, scenic beauty, and welcoming spirit.
- Three restaurants—Mon Lapin in Montréal, Restaurant Pearl Morissette in Lincoln, and Tanière3 in Québec City—landed among North America’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Adding to the country’s recognition in this year’s rankings, the Fairmont Empress in Victoria, B.C., was named the #2 Hotel in Western Canada. The property continues to climb in the awards each year, bolstered by its world-famous Afternoon Tea, recently reimagined Fairmont Gold experience, and ongoing revitalization efforts.

Victoria’s Magnolia Hotel & Spa also earned top honours this year, being named the #1 Best Hotel in Canada in the Condé Nast Traveller (UK) 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards with an impressive score of 98.67/100. The boutique property, located steps from Victoria’s Inner Harbour, is the only Vancouver Island hotel to make the list. General Manager Bill Lewis said the award reflects the “dedication of our team and the loyalty of our guests from around the world,” adding that the hotel remains committed to delivering “exceptional hospitality and unforgettable stays.” The family-owned property—known for its locally inspired design, luxury amenities, and signature experiences at The Courtney Room and Spa Magnolia—will refresh its Diamond floors this winter as part of its ongoing evolution.
More than 757,000 readers voted in this year’s Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, evaluating hotels on service, design, location, food and beverage, and overall guest experience.
The 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards also recognized other Canadian entries in categories such as Best Airport and Best Cities.
