The Bermuda Tourism Authority announced the appointment of Eric S. Kincaid as Vice President of Sales and Business Development, effective immediately.
Kincaid will oversee global sales and business development, with a mandate tied to Bermuda’s National Tourism Plan.
His focus includes growing group and business travel, with efforts across meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE), as well as sports and maritime sectors. He will also work on partnerships with luxury travel advisors, consortia and networks to expand Bermuda’s reach in higher-value markets.
“It's an honour to join the Bermuda Tourism Authority and contribute to advancing the island’s position on the global stage,” said Kincaid.
“This role presents an incredible opportunity to lead with strategy and purpose — driving sales performance, fostering meaningful industry relationships and delivering long-term value for Bermuda’s tourism economy.”
Kincaid brings experience in destination marketing and convention sales, with established relationships across key U.S. markets. He previously held roles with Choose Chicago and Destination DC, where he focused on securing large-scale events. He began his career with Marriott International, holding sales leadership roles over more than a decade.
He also serves on the PCMA HBCU Taskforce, is Chair of the ASAE Industry Partner Alliance, and sits on Destinations International’s Advisory Leadership Board.
Kincaid joins the BTA leadership team and will work across the organization to support commercial priorities and market engagement.
“Eric’s appointment strengthens our focus on how we target and convert both leisure and group business in key markets,” said Acting CEO Erin Wright. “His experience will support more targeted sales efforts across priority segments, while advancing our goal of improving how we invest and respond to shifting demand.”
Group travel remains a key segment for Bermuda, supporting year-round visitation and driving room nights and visitor spending, particularly during shoulder seasons. The segment also plays a role in introducing first-time visitors to the destination through business events, sports tournaments and group experiences, with the potential to convert them into repeat leisure travellers.
Kincaid will be based in the United States and is expected to begin engagement with global partners and Bermuda stakeholders in the coming weeks.
