The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) made its final stop in Toronto this week, hosting a “One of One Bermuda” experience at the CN Tower as part of its spring sales roadshow.

The April 7 event brought together travel advisors, meeting planners and tour operators from across the Toronto area.

Representatives from the BTA included Director of Sales Chris Keane, Assistant Director of Sales Donna Douglas, Sales and Events Manager Jamion Simmons and Assistant Director of Business Development Chris Crumpler. They were joined by partners including Nicole Conrad from BermudAir and Daniela D’Amato.

“We’ve been blown away by the positive growth from Canada over the last year, and engaging local travel advisors, tour operators, and meeting planners continues to be a top priority for the BTA sales team,” said Keane.

“Bermuda is preparing for a landmark tourism year in 2026 with expanded air connectivity, new hotel developments, and significant infrastructure investments designed to accommodate increased leisure and business travellers.”

Canada continues to be a growing market for Bermuda. The BTA reports arrivals from Canada increased by 30% year over year, with leisure air visitors rising from 9,698 in 2024 to 12,641 in 2025.

That momentum is expected to continue. Projected air capacity for 2026 is set to increase by 16% from Toronto, 51% from Montréal and 72% from Halifax, giving Canadian travellers more access to the island.

On the ground, Bermuda is also preparing for increased demand. The planned reopening of the Fairmont Southampton, one of the island’s largest and most recognizable properties, is expected to boost overall hotel room inventory by 25%. The added capacity is expected to support both leisure travel and group and meetings business.

During the event, the BTA also updated advisors on its new Bermuda Specialist Program, launched earlier this year. The training platform is designed to help advisors build destination knowledge, share content with clients and drive bookings. Advisors who complete the program by April 30, 2026 will be entered into a draw for a trade FAM trip to Bermuda later in the year.

The Toronto stop marked the final leg of the BTA’s spring roadshow, reinforcing the destination’s focus on the Canadian market as it heads into 2026 with increased airlift and expanded capacity.
