The Belize Tourism Board (BTB) has wrapped a three-city Canadian roadshow, meeting with travel advisors and industry partners in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary.
Held September 9-11, the roadshow included reps from the Belize Hotel Association, Best Western Plus Belize Biltmore Plaza and Darah Travel.
The visit comes as Belize marks its 45th year of independence and prepares for additional Canadian air service this winter.
"Canada remains one of Belize's most important international markets, and the opportunity to connect directly with travel advisors, tour operators and industry partners is invaluable," said Gale Malic-Ozaeta, Marketing and Communications Manager at the Belize Tourism Board

"Through this roadshow, we were able to share what's new in the destination, reinforce the ease of access from Canada and equip partners with the tools and knowledge needed to confidently sell Belize in Canada."
The delegation began in Toronto as an exhibitor at the ACTA Toronto Travel Industry Trade Show.
Belize also participated in the inaugural Central America Tourism Agency (CATA) Roadshow in Canada. The Toronto event took place September 9, followed by a Montreal reception on September 10, bringing together tourism boards and industry partners from across Central America.
The Canadian program concluded September 11 with the Belize Calgary Connect Happy Hour Reception.

Earlier this year, Belize and WestJet announced new seasonal nonstop service between Winnipeg and Belize beginning in December 2026.
The Winnipeg route will join existing seasonal nonstop service from Toronto with Air Canada and WestJet, Calgary with WestJet and Montreal with Air Canada.

Belize is also marking its 45th anniversary of independence with its "Belize at 45" campaign, offering discounts of up to 45% at participating accommodations.
The offer can be booked through October 31, 2026, for travel through November 15, 2026.
For advisors, BTB has also relaunched its Belize Travel Specialist Program, which provides destination training, sales resources and updates, along with access to future FAM opportunities.
