Silversea Cruises is looking ahead to 2028 and 2029 with a new collection of voyages built around major cultural events, culinary seasons and destination experiences around the world.
The luxury cruise line’s Voyage Collection 2028-2029, “Let the World Surprise You,” features 103 voyages spanning September 2028 through May 2029. The program visits 219 destinations in 56 countries and includes 29 new ports of call across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, and South America.
The new collection was previewed to Venetian Society members on October 6, with general sales opening October 8.
“Our Voyage Collection 2028-2029 offers industry-leading depth across every region,” says Bert Hernandez, president of Silverse Cruises. “Guests can select a voyage designed around a culinary season through our new S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages, take on an entire continent aboard Silver Nova during Grand South America 2029, or spend an afternoon on the exclusive island of Canouan.”
Among the highlights are sailings timed to Venice and Rio de Janeiro Carnival celebrations, New Year’s Eve fireworks in Funchal, Madeira, and Sydney, and new S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages focused on European truffle season and Southeast Asian markets.
Two Ships in the Mediterranean
Silver Nova and Silver Dawn will operate 17 Mediterranean voyages between October 2028 and March 2029, visiting 53 destinations in 12 countries. The deployment includes new calls at Brindisi and Imperia, along with overnight stays in destinations including Venice, Funchal, Genoa, Istanbul, Livorno, Naples and Valletta.
Several itineraries are timed around major events. Silver Dawn will spend an overnight in Venice during Carnival, giving guests the opportunity to experience the festivities after dark, including an evening event inspired by Casanova.
Another sailing will position Silver Dawn in Funchal for New Year’s Eve, allowing guests to watch the island’s fireworks display from the ship before continuing to Casablanca and Tangier.
Silver Dawn also will offer three sailings featuring Alexandria, Egypt, with an excursion to the Great Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, as well as two additional itineraries calling at Istanbul.
New Culinary Voyages
Silversea is expanding its S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages, a collection of itineraries centered on regional food and culinary traditions.
Three new Wine & Truffle sailings aboard Silver Dawn will operate between October and December 2028, traveling through Italy and Spain during truffle season. The voyages will include truffle-hunting excursions, vineyard tours, onboard tastings and programming with chefs.
Four new Asian Markets sailings aboard Silver Muse will travel between Singapore and Hong Kong, with food-focused shore excursions led by local experts, chef-led market tours and visits to hawker stalls and street-food destinations.
New Caribbean Destination Experience
Silversea also is adding a new Destination Experience in Canouan, an island in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The full-day experience will include a Carnival-style welcome with local dancers and a steel band, followed by a private beachside event with food, drinks, live music and other entertainment.
Silver Ray, Silver Nova, Silver Spirit and Silver Shadow will operate 38 Caribbean and Central American voyages between November 2028 and March 2029. The itineraries cover 34 destinations in 21 countries, including a new call at La Romana in the Dominican Republic.
The ships will offer round-trip departures from Miami, Fort Lauderdale or San Juan. Silver Ray and Silver Spirit also will operate eight- to 12-day round-trip Miami voyages featuring St. Barts alongside destinations such as Antigua, Anguilla and St. Kitts.
Silver Nova to Circumnavigate South America
One of the collection’s longest voyages will be the 75-night Grand South America 2029 sailing aboard Silver Nova.
The round-trip voyage departs Fort Lauderdale on January 13, 2029, and returns March 29, visiting destinations throughout the continent. The itinerary includes a Panama Canal transit, scenic cruising along the Antarctic Peninsula and overnight stays in Manaus, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Callao for Lima and Cartagena.
The voyage also includes three exclusive events. In Gustavia, St. Barts, guests will attend a sunset reception followed by dinner and live music. In Rio de Janeiro, guests will have reserved seating at the Sambadrome for Carnival. The voyage concludes with a private event in Cartagena featuring live music, dancers and cultural performances.
New Ports and Holiday Celebrations in Asia-Pacific
Silver Moon will spend the 2028-2029 season in Australia and New Zealand, operating 10 voyages between October 2028 and March 2029. The itineraries visit 42 destinations across three countries and include new calls at Batemans Bay and Phillip Island, as well as scenic cruising through Dusky Sound.The ship also will spend New Year’s Eve in Sydney on an overnight call.
In Asia, Silver Moon and Silver Muse will operate 26 voyages between September 2028 and May 2029, visiting 62 destinations in 11 countries. The program adds eight new ports: Yeosu, Hitachinaka, Miyako-jima, Vigan, Muara, Sihanoukville, Makassar and Maizuru, near Kyoto.
Kobe and Bali also will become new turnaround ports for Silversea, giving travelers more options for combining itineraries. Some sailings are timed to coincide with Japan’s cherry blossom season and Hong Kong’s Lunar New Year celebrations.
