Royal Caribbean is celebrating a major construction milestone for its newest ship, Legend of the Seas, ahead of its July 2026 debut.
The vessel—the third ship in the brand’s Icon Class—has officially started sea trials in Turku, Finland.
Over the next 10 days, more than 2,000 engineers and specialists will conduct a series of technical tests to evaluate the vessel’s systems.
Legend of the Seas will cover approximately 2,400 nautical miles before returning to the Meyer Turku shipyard for its final stages of construction.
After its European summer season, the new ship will head to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where it will offer six-night Western Caribbean getaways and eight-night Southern Caribbean cruises, including visits to Perfect Day at CocoCay, the cruise line’s private island in The Bahamas.
