Arriving in the summer of 2027 is Royal Caribbean's fourth Icon Class ship, setting sail from Miami: the Hero of the Seas.

The new family-centric ship will offer eight neighborhoods, the most pools at sea, 28 dining venues and cooking classes, new family raft slides and new accommodation styles for multigenerational families, including a three-story Ultimate Family Treehouse.

Bookings for the Hero of the Seas open for Crown & Anchor Society loyalty members on April 1, one day ahead of when bookings open to the general public. Hero of the Seas will sail 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages from Miami, including stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay.

"Icon Class truly set a new standard for family vacations, and Hero of the Seas takes that vision even further," said Michael Bayley, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean. "With more water, more thrills and more choices for all ages, we're continuing to build on what our guests love about Royal Caribbean and delivering the experiences families are looking for when vacationing together."

Hero of the Seas will launch with new accommodation options for travelers, specifically multigenerational families.

One such new accommodation style is the Ultimate Family Treehouse. The three-story penthouse offers a rooftop terrace, a teen hideout, a private whirlpool, and more, and can accommodate 12 travelers.

Other new accommodation styles include the Surfside Family Suites and Family Infinite Ocean View Balconies. For a more luxurious stay, travelers can choose a Royal Loft Suite or an Icon Loft Suite.

Dining on the Hero of the Seas

With 28 different dining spots, travelers' taste buds will never get bored on the Hero of the Seas. New experiences include the Orleans Parish Supper Club, a multi-course dining venue featuring Creole and Cajun dishes and live jazz.

Royal Railway — Hero Station will debut as an immersive dining experience, taking travelers on a train-car journey.

Families can enjoy learning to cook new dishes with their kids at Surfside's new cooking classes. The AquaDome Market food hall will feature four new stall concepts.

When the ship sets sail in August 2027, it'll feature nine pools, new family raft slides, and so much more.

Category 6 will be the largest waterpark at sea, now featuring two new family raft slides, the line's first funnel raft slide and more. Crown's Edge takes kids and their parents on a high-flying adventure with skywalk and zipline experiences, while Adrenaline Peak offers rock-climbing at sea.

Adults looking for a fruity cocktail can enjoy lounging at the new Coconut Cove pool concept, which offers in-water loungers, views of the Central Park neighborhood, and easy access to The Lime and Coconut bar. Adults can also enjoy three options for adults-only pools.
