Royal Caribbean plans to add new staterooms to Ovation of the Seas during an upcoming update of the vessel.

The 4,182-guest ship, built in 2016, will undergo enhancements in 2026 as part of the brand’s Royal Amplified initiative. According to updated deck plans, the company plans to add 40 new staterooms on decks 5, 9, 12, 13 and 16. They’ll mostly be replacing public areas, such as the conference center and part of a fitness center.

Royal Caribbean also plans to expand the footprint of its casino, taking over the space currently used as the Music Hall. The upper level of Music Hall will also become Sound Cellar, and Starbucks will replace La Patisserie.

Pesky Parrot will replace the Bionic Bar, as the brand begins to phase out its robotic bartenders. The Wonderland specialty restaurant will become Izumi Teppanyaki, and Giovanni's Italian Kitchen will take the place of Jamie’s Italian. The pool deck will be revamped with pirate casitas and a new whirlpool

Ovation of the Seas is one of three ships that are scheduled to undergo major refurbishments next year, along with Liberty of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas. It will enter dry dock ahead of its 2026 summer season in Alaska.

“Royal Caribbean continues to raise the bar on delivering the best of every vacation with revolutionary ships and top-rated exclusive destinations,” says Jay Schneider, chief product innovation officer for Royal Caribbean. “After seeing incredible success and guest satisfaction with the amplification of Allure of the Seas, we're excited to bring three new amplifications to our fleet in 2026.”
