Princess Cruises is celebrating a major award for its Italian cuisine and hospitality.
Alfredo’s Pizzeria aboard Sun Princess and Star Princess has been awarded the Ospitalità Italiana Certification, recognized worldwide as a symbol of excellence and authenticity.
The designation is only given to dining establishments that uphold Italy’s rich culinary heritage, reinforcing Princess Cruises’ as a destination for true Italian dining.
The cruise line has a partnership with Tony Gemignani, a chef and 13-time World Pizza Champion. He brings his expertise and passion for Italian pizza to Alfredo’s Pizzeria, where guests can enjoy authentic Neapolitan-style, made-to-order, hand-stretched pizza created using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques by skilled onboard chefs.
Gemignani has created five unique pizzas for Princess, which are served across the fleet of 17 ships. Each offers an exciting blend of savory flavors and premium ingredients, from Soppressata sausage and hot honey to gorgonzola and sweet fig preserves.
