MSC World Asia will bring an expanded wellness experience to the Mediterranean when she begins sailing in December 2026, with a redesigned MSC Aurea Spa offering panoramic ocean views, advanced treatments and personalized wellness services.

The third ship in MSC Cruises’ World Class series, MSC World Asia will incorporate design elements inspired by Asia’s culture, art and landscapes. That influence will extend to the ship’s 13,562-square-foot MSC Aurea Spa, which MSC Cruises describes as its most comprehensive wellness offering to date.

“Wellness has become an increasingly important part of the travel experience, and our ambition with MSC World Asia was to create a spa that rivals the finest wellness destinations on land,” says Georg Schmickler, senior vice president of onboard revenue for MSC Cruises, adding that the brand has achieved that by combining "beautifully designed spaces, innovative therapies, advanced technologies and personalized experiences.”

Starting December 4, MSC World Asia will operate seven-night Mediterranean sailings calling at Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia for Rome, Messina and Valletta.

The ship’s spa will offer a collection of technology-driven treatments focused on relaxation, recovery and overall wellbeing. Among them is Dry Float Therapy by Starpool, which is designed to relieve muscular tension and promote deep relaxation without guests getting wet.

Other treatments include Whole-Body Cryotherapy, which is intended to support muscle recovery and circulation while reducing inflammation; Iyashi Dôme Infrared Therapy, inspired by Japanese wellness traditions; and LPG Endermologie, which stimulates collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production while helping smooth and firm the skin.

Guests also will be able to begin their wellness experience with a personalized consultation. The spa will offer AI-powered skin and scalp analysis, FootBalance 3D foot scanning, customized facial treatments and wellness recommendations tailored to individual needs.

For guests who prefer to stay active, the MSC Gym powered by Technogym will feature state-of-the-art fitness equipment, functional training areas, immersive group classes and personalized coaching.

The ship’s Thermal Area will bring together 12 wellness experiences focused on heat, water and relaxation. Guests can use a Panoramic Sea-View Sauna, Snow Room, aromatic steam rooms, Finnish and bio saunas, a Himalayan Salt Room and Japanese-inspired ganbanyoku beds.

The space also will include experience showers, whirlpools and relaxation lounges, giving guests multiple ways to incorporate recovery and relaxation into a Mediterranean cruise.

“Every aspect of the MSC Aurea Spa has been thoughtfully designed to help guests relax, recharge and leave feeling their very best,” says Schmickler.
