MSC Cruises is expanding its Caribbean offerings for Winter 2026-27, introducing longer itineraries designed with Canadian travellers in mind.
The MSC Poesia will sail 10- and 11-night routes, along with extended 14- and 21-night voyages, providing a sun-soaked escape from Canada’s coldest months.
Departures will run from October 2026 to March 2027, reaching a variety of Southern Caribbean and Central American destinations, including Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia.
“We are excited to offer Canadian travellers extended Caribbean itineraries for the Winter 2026-2027 season,” said Ian Patterson, Country Manager, MSC Cruises Canada.
“Longer cruises have always held a strong appeal for Canadians looking for a winter getaway. These itineraries, coupled with MSC Cruises’ premium onboard experience, from specialty dining to world-class entertainment, offer a perfect fit for their travel style.”
Notable ports of call include:
- Oranjestad, Aruba – Known for its sunny climate, white-sand beaches, and colonial architecture.
- Kralendijk, Bonaire – A quiet island prized for its protected marine life and appeal to divers.
- Willemstad, Curaçao – Offers rich cultural experiences and colorful Dutch Caribbean buildings.
- Puerto Limón, Costa Rica – A jumping-off point for rainforest adventures and wildlife tours.
- Colón, Panama – Located near the Panama Canal, blending Caribbean flair with modern infrastructure.
- Isla de Roatán, Honduras – A favourite for snorkellers, thanks to its proximity to the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.
- Cabo Rojo, Dominican Republic – Ideal for beach lovers and those seeking authentic local culture.
- Cartagena, Colombia – A historic walled city offering UNESCO-listed charm and Caribbean heat.

Canadian guests can also choose to enhance their trip with the Aurea Experience, which will include upgraded perks starting July 2025. These will feature priority disembarkation, complimentary minibar refreshes, an in-suite Nespresso machine, spa access, and flexible dining options.
The MSC Poesia sailings join a broader lineup of MSC Cruises' Caribbean departures from multiple North American ports, including Miami, New York, and Galveston. Many itineraries also feature a stop at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the line’s private Bahamian island known for its sustainability efforts and pristine beaches.
