HX Expeditions is unveiling its 2027-28 season, with an emphasis on mindful travel and more meaningful, community-led experiences around the world.

“At HX, our strategy has always been about creating lasting connections with the places and people we visit,” says Gebhard Rainer, chief executive officer of HX Expeditions. “For our 27/28 season, we’re not just adding new pins to our map—we’re going deeper: the ultimate in slow and mindful travel. Whether it’s exploring the untouched wilderness of Greenland with local Greenlandic chefs or designing community-led experiences with Inuit Elders in Arctic Canada, we’re focused on offering our guests the chance to see the world differently.”

Travelers will have a chance to visit Arctic Canada, Antarctica, Greenland, Alaska, Svalbard, Iceland, Patagonia, the Outer Hebrides and beyond, with the essence of each destination at the forefront of each journey.

The brand will continue to offer its new community-led experiences in Arctic Canada, created in partnership with Inuit elders and local residents. These give travelers a chance to connect with Indigenous culture, traditions and knowledge in a way that is respectful, authentic and enriching.

In Antarctica, HX is emphasizing kayaking and camping, giving more guests the opportunity to experience the Antarctic wilderness up close. And in Greenland, the 2027-28 season will see HX partnering even more closely with Greenlandic locals. HX will expand its culinary offerings, allowing guests to dine on traditional Greenlandic dishes prepared by local chefs, while learning about the rich history and culture of the region.

HX is also making changes to its HX Explorers Loyalty Program. The company is launching a new points system with four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Members can now earn points for every night they sail, onboard activities and select experiences at home.

“Mindful travel is at the core of what we do,” says Rainer. “We want our guests to leave with more than just memories—we want them to leave with a deeper understanding of the places they’ve visited, and the people they’ve met. This season is all about forging connections, broadening perspectives, and offering travelers the opportunity to engage in a way that truly honors the cultures and environments they’re experiencing.”
